Nanaimo travel guide for KAT sessions

Nanaimo Travel Guide

A mini travel guide to assist in your travel plans for KAT sessions on Vancouver Island.

Participant Guide

PART 1 – HOW WE GOT HERE: The Roots of Roots to Thrive

PART 2 – HOW WE GET THERE: Developing Your Roots to Thrive

A compassionate community provides the grace to become skillful in unskillful ways.

The remaining sections of this guide are broken into re-orientation opportunities and practices that promote thriving roots. To attune secure ways of BEing, we will:

  • Co-create a ‘container,’ where we practice providing and receiving unconditional positive regard.

  • Expand our awareness of who we are and how we relate to our inner and outer world.

  • Practice compassion, including self-compassion, strengthening our ability to connect to,

attune with, and express our ‘real’ selves.

  • Self-regulate and self-soothe through moments of suffering (stress).

  • Practice settling our biology, enabling us to “drop into ourselves”, connecting heartfully.

  • Soften into the heart, promoting a greater ability to re-connect and resource ourselves inwardly and outwardly.

  • Align with our essence, providing an opportunity to live our calling.

Feedback

We ask participants for anonymous feedback throughout the cohort to help us shape our programming. We look forward to hearing about your experience!
